An industry veteran with more than 20 years of digital marketing experience, Sarah Jayne’s love of the medium started in the heyday of dial up bulletin board systems (BBS). Since then her career path has led to her working with a wide variety of brands from global entertainment companies to family-friendly restaurant chains.
How do you define great advertising?
For me great advertising is all about putting the right message in front of the right person at the right time. That is part of why I love digital marketing because you can really drill down to find that sweet spot.
What inspires your work?
I love the satisfaction that comes with really nailing a campaign. Few things feel as good as seeing the proof of success reflected in analytics and ROI.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
My spare time is spent with my husband and my four rescue cats. Most of that time is spent listening to music, watching cult tv & films and filling my brain with useless trivia.
Where were you born?
I was born and raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I moved to London, UK at 19 and remained there for over 15 years. I now hold dual US and UK citizenship.
What’s the most unusual thing you know how to do?
I have a weird talent for being able to recognize voices. Never watch an animated show with me unless you are okay with my commenting on who is voicing each character.
This is always such a hard question for a music nut. It’s probably easier to say my favorite bands which are R.E.M., Placebo and Depeche Mode.
